Spirit Awards 2009: die Nominierten

Die Nominierten für die Spirit Awards 2009 sind bekannt gegeben worden. Bei der Preisverleihung wird das Independent Filmgenre geehrt.

MTV-Awards werden 2009 in Berlin verliehen

Noch ist es ein großes Geheimnis, doch die Zeichen verdichten sich: Nach Informationen von Tagesspiegel.de werden die 16. MTV Europe Music Awards im kommenden Jahr in Berlin vergeben.

Der Musiksender lehnte am Freitag jeden Kommentar ab, kündigte aber für nächsten Mittwoch eine Stellungnahme an. An diesem Tag soll es aber eine Pressekonferenz bei MTV geben, zu der sich der Regierende Bürgermeister angesagt hat. Von ihm soll die Initiative ausgegangen sein, dass der Sender die Preise in Berlin und nicht - wie geplant - in Amsterdam vergibt.

Im Jahr 1994 hatte der Musiksender die internationale Preisverleihung - in Berlin - als Gegenstück zu den amerikanischen MTV Video Music Awards ins Leben gerufen. Seitdem zog die Veranstaltung jedes Jahr in eine andere europäische Stadt, in diesem Jahr etwa ins englische Liverpool, 2007 nach München.

Die Verleihung der Awards an von MTV nominierte Musiker wird in 40 europäischen Ländern übertragen. Zum einen werden die besten nationalen Künstler gekürt - per Internet-Abstimmung des Publikums. Zum "Best German Act" wurden zuletzt die Hamburger Hip-Hopper von Fettes Brot gekürt. Ebenfalls nominiert waren Die Ärzte, Mia, Sido und die Söhne Mannheims.
Zum anderen gibt es acht übergreifende Kategorien wie "Album of the Year", "Video Star" oder "Headliner". Hier waren 2008 die Teenie-Rocker von Tokio Hotel erfolgreich. Die Magdeburger waren - wie schon im Jahr zuvor - die einzige deutsche Band in der von US-Künstlern dominierten Auswahl.

Auch die Moderation der Veranstaltung übernehmen meist US-Stars. Diese Dominanz stößt immer wieder auf Kritik. Gerade auch, weil die nationalen MTV-Stationen neben den "großen" Preisverleihungen nur die Siegerehrung ihrer lokalen Kandidaten übertragen. Etwas mehr "Europe" könnte nicht schaden.

А вoобще Путин молодец, всем надо президентам и премьерам с него пример брать. Вот так напрямую с народом пиздеть не каждый может, всмысле в прямом эфире ответить на провокационные вопросы например. Конечно вопросы фильтровали наверное, но всё равно , я думаю можно было бы спросить что- то интересненькое...! А вопросы задавали впринципе очень разные, но всё же о насущных проблемах,а самым актуальными и многочосленными были вопросы, касающиеся малого бизнеса. В целом социальная политика властей страны в условиях кризиса стала главной темой «Разговора с Владимиром Путиным». В отличие от прошлых «прямых линий», при отборе вопросов ведущими шоу (а именно в этом жанре и прошла встреча Путина с народом) международная жизнь явно не была в числе приоритетов. Фактически в контексте международной политики Владимир Путин говорил разве что о США и Грузии. Он заявил, что в Москве видят «сигналы» возможных позитивных изменений в политике США в связи со сменой президента в этой стране. В частности, таким сигналом было решение министров иностранных дел НАТО в Брюсселе, не предоставивших Грузии и Украине плана действий по присоединению к альянсу. Что касается Грузии, то ее агрессия против Южной Осетии лишила Тбилиси шансов на восстановление территориальной целостности государства. «Если бы не было этой агрессии, на самом деле Россия бы, наверное, дальше продолжала усилия по созданию условий для территориального воссоединения Грузии», — сказал Путин. и ещё много вопросов задавали Путину во время "Разговора" в прямом эфире...

Students from more than 70 countries have studied at the Adelaide based International College of Hotel Management (ICHM), it blends 100 years of European tradition with a fresh, work-ready approach to quality, and industry focused education and training for which Australia has gained an international reputation.

Established 1992 in partnership with Swiss Hotel Association (SHA) and the South Australian Government, the International College of Hotel Management (ICHM) prepares students for a successful career at the top end of the international hotel industry. ICHM was the first school outside of Switzerland able to offer the world renowned Swiss Hotel Association Diploma of International Hotel Management. For more than a century, the Swiss Hotel Association (SHA) has been the official organisation for the hotel industry in Switzerland, setting the standards in hotel management education for the rest of the world to follow.

To achieve the SHA Diploma, ICHM students spend 6 months each year for three years studying full-time on the campus; the second six months of each year they are sent for Industry Placements (or internships). While on campus, students study practical subjects combined with business studies applicable to hospitality environments as well as other related industries.

Note: ICHM has about 400 students and can only accept a maximum of 90 students every January and July intake.

Industry Placements play an extremely valuable role in the ICHM courses. Students spend one semester each year working in hotels, resorts or a similar type of hospitality organization. Working with over 400 hotels worldwide, ICHM has built an enviable reputation for the quality of the industry placements arranged for students. Essentially ICHM undergraduates can travel the world, working in hotels in Australia and overseas, be it Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or the Great Barrier Reef; to Dubai, London and Hong Kong ... ICHM students experience it all!

All new students live in ICHM's modern on-campus accommodation complex, staying in single bedroom accommodation each room is equipped with a phone and a computer with internet access. A secure home away from home, with staff on duty 24 hours a day and all meals prepared by professional chefs in the student dining hall.

Students that successfully completed the SHA Diploma can then study towards the ICHM Bachelor Degree, a university level qualification for those seeking the best positions in an ever- competitive marketplace. Graduates are then able to gain direct entry into Masters Programs at various universities in Australia and the United Kingdom.

ICHM graduates are on every continent enjoying successful careers; working as supervisors and specialists through to senior and general managers. Their employers range from boutique establishments to large multi-national hotels and resorts; many graduates are also employed in a business or managerial capacity across other non-hospitality related industries.
